The short version

Page to AI sends nothing anywhere. There is no server, no API, no account, no analytics and no tracking. Everything the extension does happens inside your browser, on your device.

What the extension can access, and why

  • Active tab — only when you click the extension icon, use the right-click menu, or open it with the shortcut. It reads the page you are on so it can copy its text.
  • Scripting — to run the text extractor on that one active page. It is never injected into pages you have not asked it to copy.
  • Context menus — to add the “Copy page for AI” right-click item.
  • Storage — to save your settings, saved prompts and history on this device only.
  • Clipboard write — to copy text when you press a copy button or use the right-click menu. The extension never reads your clipboard.

What is stored, and where

  • Settings — auto clean, character count, default format, theme. Stored locally.
  • Saved prompts — prompts you add, edit or delete. Stored locally, max 5 in the free version.
  • History — the title, format, token estimate, time and copied text of your last 20 copies, so “Copy again” works. Stored locally.

None of this leaves your device. Uninstalling the extension removes its local storage.

How to delete your data

  • History: open the popup → History → Clear All.
  • Saved prompts: open the popup → Saved Prompts → delete each prompt.
  • Everything at once: uninstall the extension from Chrome.

What the extension never does

  • It never sends page content, prompts, history or settings to any server or third party.
  • It never shows ads and never runs on pages in the background.
  • It cannot read pages you have not asked it to copy, and it cannot read Chrome internal pages (such as chrome://extensions).
